Health truly does not depend on 6 pack abs or even hitting the sport fitness equipment daily. An important part of being healthy is that you feel good about who you are and about your body. Self image is dependent on much more than just the size or shape of your body. Even if you cannot find the correct fat loss solution, you can still be healthy if you have a good self image. Health is not dependent on following an eating plan or going to the gym a certain number of days every week.

Many people do not have a healthy self image. They do not like the person that they see in the mirror each morning. They see themselves as being a person that has little worth in the world around them.

If you do not feel good about who you are, then you need to start each day by finding one thing that you do well. Perhaps it is that you are a good dad. Perhaps it is that you are a fiend that can be counted on. Maybe the one good thing is that you are punctual for your job. Start focusing on the positive and you will be a positive person.

Another important thing that will help you to feel good about yourself is to choose to be around positive people. Positive people will give you reasons to feel good about yourself and not tear you down. You need to balance those people that you find as draining with those that that can help to build you up.

At the same time you limit your negative people, you will also need to find those whom you can help. Everyone should be able to find at least one other person that they can help. Helping others is one of the quickest ways to lift up your own self esteem.

As you consider your health, realize that we are finding more and more connections between the mind and health. If you have a poor self image, it can directly affect your health. Therefore, it is important that you take the steps to improve your self image in order to be a healthy person.
