When you know you�re dreaming, the possibilities are endless.</p>
<p> Think about what you will want to do when you are <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/lucid-dreaming/">lucid dreaming</a>. Do you want to enjoy your dreams more, fly in your dreams, hunt down the villain as in a video game or use them to help you solve problems in other areas? It does not matter why you want to lucid dream as long as you have a goal and a mindset to achieve it.</p>
<p> Once you have your reasons in order, you need to learn the way to get your mind prepared for <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com">lucid dreaming</a>. You must be in the right mental state for this type of dreaming. The first step is to start remembering your dreams. This means the dreams you have every night need to be recalled.</p>
<p> To get started with conscious dreaming condition yourself to recall the dreams you had the previous night. Also, focus on remembering all the details of your dreams. Keep a notebook, journal, or dream diary, whatever works best for you. You need to write down everything you can recall about your dreams as soon as you wake up. You will forget details of your dreams as the day goes by so always do it as soon as you wake up.</p>
<p> This will force your mind to focus on your dreams and begin remembering them easily as time goes by. You can always use your dream record to refresh your memory. As soon as you get used to recalling your dreams you are ready to go to the next level, which is to know when you are in a dream. You may in fact be in a dream and suddenly realize it.</p>
<p> Another way besides keeping a record of your dreams is to use hypnosis. It will get you to the mindset necessary to have lucid dreams. Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can get you to remember details in your dreams very quickly. Just a few sessions are all it takes. As with the other method, once you have dream recall, you are ready to have a conscious dream.</p>
<p> Either on its own or along with a dream diary, hypnosis is a powerful technique for training your mind to recall dreams. In fact, many find themselves able to remember every detail of their dreams with only a few sessions of hypnosis! Once you have gained this ability, you will be able to begin conscious dreaming.</p>
<p> Yet another conscious dreaming method is to force yourself to awaken earlier than usual, such as two hours or so. After you have awoken, go ahead and fall back to sleep. This has the effect of making you more aware of your dreams. You may have the illusion that you are lying in bed daydreaming but you are actually asleep and dreaming. Lucid dreaming is very likely to occur if you do this consistently.</p>
<p> Another method which many find useful for inducing conscious dreaming is to wake up a few hours earlier than normal. Simply set your alarm about two hours early and then go back to bed after awakening. In these last few hours before you are accustomed to waking up, it is much more common to have lucid dreams. These dreams can be hard to tell from simply laying awake and daydreaming! This is a good way to begin conscious dreaming.</p>
<p> Figure out your sleep patterns, as this will help you to figure out when the best times for you to have conscious dreaming experiences are. Don�t short yourself on sleep too much though; being sleep deprived makes it harder to have lucid dreams.</p>
<p> Those afflicted with insomnia and other sleep disorders may be pleased to hear that conscious dreaming can help them to get a better night�s sleep � it makes it easier to clear away the worries which can keep you from getting to sleep at night.</p>
<p> Conscious dreaming is easy to learn and anyone can do it, in fact some do it without learning or practice. Find a method you like to use and learn to lucid dream. Do not miss what others are doing every night. Explore your dreams.</p>
<p> Conscious dreaming is an ability which everyone has. By practicing these techniques, you�ll find yourself in control of your dreams in pretty short order; and enjoying all of the benefits of lucid dreams!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You have heard about people who <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/lucid-dream/">lucid dream</a> and think it is something you would like to do. That is a good starting point but exactly how do you begin and what are the steps to being a successful lucid dreamer?</p>
<p> So, what is so good about being a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/lucid-dreamer/">lucid dreamer</a>? What would you gain from it? In order to understand the advantages of being aware when you are dreaming, we need to examine what regular sleep actually is.</p>
<p> How is <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/lucid-dreaming/">lucid dreaming</a> different? Have you ever considered the process of sleep before? Every night you make preparations, crawl into bed and go to sleep. You may have dreams or nightmares or all may just be dark for a few hours, it is rather boring isn�t it?</p>
<p> The human body has a built in requirement for sleep. It rests the body so that we are prepared to continue our lives. Without it, there is strong evidence for insanity. That is all well and good but there is nothing saying we cannot control certain aspects of sleep is there?</p>
<p> What if you could control your dream rather than the other way around? A lucid dreamer is someone who can do exactly that; someone who is not a passenger but a driver of their dreams.</p>
<p> All well and good, but how exactly do you become a lucid dreamer? There are two ways of accomplishing this goal. The first method is to have a dream-initiated lucid dream, or DLID. This is where the dreamer becomes aware that they are in fact dreaming and begins to take control over the dream.</p>
<p> WILD refers to a wake initiated lucid dream. You slip into a dream before you are fully asleep. Instead of going to sleep before you dream you simply enter into the dream with your mind still conscious.</p>
<p> So how are these types of lucid dreaming induced?</p>
<p> Dream Recall</p>
<p> A simple place to start when you would like to lucid dream is in dream recall. This is where you can remember and perhaps recite your dream in part or in whole. You are very likely to have the same dream more than once in your life and being able to remember them will alert you the next time you have that particular dream.</p>
<p> Keeping a dream journal is the best way to learn this skill. A dream journal is for writing down anything which you can remember about your dreams for future reference. You should do this immediately after waking up; the longer you wait, the harder it will be to recall.</p>
<p> Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD)</p>
<p> This method was developed by top lucid dreaming researcher Dr. Stephen LaBerge. The idea is to affirm to yourself that you will remember something when you see it in a dream � then when you do, you will realize that you are dreaming and begin to assert control over your dream.</p>
<p> WBTB refers to Wake Back to Bed</p>
<p> The way you do this one is, only plan on sleeping for a few hours like five or six. Set your alarm if you need to so you will wake up. After you have slept the few hours and wake up, stay up. Find something to do to stay awake. Do a little house work; Think about what you might like to do in your lucid dreams. Return to bed in an hour.</p>
<p> This technique of learning to lucid dream has a sixty percent success rate according to Stephen LaBerge. You have waked up during the dream cycle of your sleep which is referred to as REM. This is like a trigger telling your mind that you want to be aware when you are dreaming.</p>
<p> As the name suggests this technique is all about cycling your sleep. Go to bed at your normal time but for a week set an alarm to wake you one and a half hours early. You should continue to do this for around 7 days. Once your body has settled somewhat into this routine, begin to alternate your wake up times. One day normal, wake up time the next early, on your normal days you will be trying to wake up early and should increase lucid dream chances.</p>
<p> Developed by Daniel Love, this involves setting your alarm to wake about 90 minutes earlier than usual; once you acclimate to this, set your alarm to wake you up alternately early and at the time you used to get up. At those times when you wake up at the usual time, you&#8217;ll be accustomed to waking early. This means that you are more likely to lucid dream during this last hour and a half.</p>
<p> WILD refers to Wake Initiation of Lucid Dreams</p>
<p> To get into this correct frame of mind if you will there are a few tricks you can use. Focus seems to be key so try to focus your mind on things like your breathing, counting, perhaps chant or meditate. In a way, you are practicing self-hypnosis. Use this technique when you are not extremely tired, perhaps during a late nap.</p>
<p> You need to stay aware; it is a lot like self hypnosis. This is not a good exercise to try when you are tired as your mind may not stay as aware. Try to focus on things that require brain activity such as doing math puzzles, jogging or anything to keep your mind active. Breathe evenly and focus on relaxing every part of your body.</p>
<p> There are also technological innovations which can help to induce lucid dreaming, among them strobe lights and dreaming masks.</p>
<p> However, the most reliable method of all is to listen to binaural sound frequencies (also called binaural beats) on headphones.</p>
<p> Binaural beats induce lucid dreaming by causing the hemispheres of your brain to work synchronously, making your brainwaves shift to the frequency required for lucid dreaming.</p>
<p> Anyone can learn to be a lucid dreamer. Practice the self hypnosis and keep telling yourself when awake that you will be aware when you are dreaming. This will prepare you for your lucid dream experience.</p>

The degree of lucidity depends on a few things � how much control you can exert over events in the dream, how much of the dream you can remember upon waking and how stable the dream is.</p>
<p> The most important part of this equation is the control you have over the events of your dream and that you know that you are in fact dreaming. You are in control of your dream and can have any experience with your <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/">lucid dream</a> that you want to have.</p>
<p> Just consider that for a moment. <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/lucid-dreaming/">Lucid Dreaming</a> looks, feels and engages all of your other senses as if it were really happening but you know that you are only dreaming and will be totally safe no matter what you do. This is the kind of virtual reality experience which computer experts can only dream of.</p>

What this means for you is that when you are lucid dreaming, you know that you are having a dream, in the same way that when you step into the bus terminal you know you&#8217;re in the bus terminal and not in the countryside or out on the street. And, because of your awareness, you are able to exert a great deal of control over what happens in your dream.</p>
<p> This is nothing short of the metaphysical. Your limitations are lifted; you can do the &#8220;impossible&#8221;.</p>
<p> But is it as simple as it looks like? Can everyone experience <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/">lucid dreaming</a> and bring to life what otherwise seems difficult or impossible in this reality?</p>
<p> But the fact of the matter is, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/">lucid dreaming</a> is not at all that difficult, as long as you know what you&#8217;re doing. You really just need old fashioned determination and passion.</p>
<p> Foremost, you must be absolutely clear about your objective in trying to master the art of lucid dreaming. Do you just want to have your own private playground in the form of lucid dreams, or there is some specific reason for developing this skill? <p> Why <a target="_blank" href="http://www.luciddreaminginfo.com/lucid-dreaming/">lucid dreaming</a>? When you go to sleep, you normally get into bed, close your eyes for a length of time, and then you either dream or aren&#8217;t conscious of anything for a while before waking up. Normal sleep isn&#8217;t very interesting!</p>
<p> Normal sleep is just a method of refreshing ourselves for the busyness of the next day.However, it could be a lot more interesting if you could control the period of time in which you&#8217;re dreaming.</p>
<p> Would you like to stop just being a passive observer and make sure your dreams are whatever you want them to be? That&#8217;s what being a lucid dreamer is all about. You&#8217;re totally in control of your dreams, and able to explore new worlds that aren&#8217;t bound to the real world&#8217;s laws.</p>
<p> If you want to become a lucid dreamer, there are two major ways to accomplish it. The first way is called DILD, or dream-initiated lucid dream. That&#8217;s when you&#8217;re in the process of having a dream, realize that it&#8217;s happening, and retain your sense of consciousness inside the dream.</p>

<p> The best way to practice dream recall is through keeping a dream journal. This is a tool in which you write down whatever you can remember about your dream so you can recall it in the future. Do this right after you wake up &#8211; dreams are harder to remember the longer you wait.</p>
<p> Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD)</p>
<p> This technique was developed by Dr. Stephen LaBerge, one of the lead scientists in the field of lucid dreaming. To use this method, just tell yourself about an object or element that you will remember. When you dream, there&#8217;s a good chance you&#8217;ll see this element, then realize that you&#8217;re dreaming.</p>
<p> Wake-Back-to-Bed (WBTB)</p>
<p> According to LaBerge, this technique has about a sixty percent success rate. That&#8217;s because you wake up in the middle of your sleep cycle, with your mind not fully aware, and are still in the middle of your REM cycle. This results in something a lot like telling your mind you want to dream lucidly and having it obey!</p>

<p> Created by Daniel Love, this method involves setting an alarm to wake you one and a half hours before your normal wake-up time. Once you get used to this early time, alternate your alarm between a normal time and the early one. That makes it more likely that you&#8217;ll wake up in your dream, and dream lucidly.</p>

<p> This method was described before. If you would like to achieve a lucid dream this way, all you have to do is to keep your mind awake while you body falls asleep. This is perhaps the most interesting way of entering a lucid dream. It is as if you are getting ready to watch a movie. You are in the real world, you sit on your couch, you turn on the TV and press play (starting to sleep), the screen is black (in the same way as when your eyes are closed), and all you have to do is wait for the movie to actually start.</p>
<p> Recent technological advances mean that dreaming masks and other useful devices have been developed. They contain strobe lights and other devices that are believed to induce lucid dreaming.</p>
<p> The most reliable and easiest way of inducing a lucid dream may be listening to binaural beats sound frequencies through headphones.</p>
<p> These work by synchronizing your brain&#8217;s two hemispheres. They almost instantly allow your brain waves to reach the frequency that occurs in REM sleep and which is needed for you to be a lucid dreamer.</p>
